The Isosonic Screed Plank system is a versatile acoustic treatment that is ideal for lightweight floors. With a choice of Screed Plank board variants, multiple types of Isorubber resilient layer and various Isosonic Ceiling options a solution can be tailored to the needs of the project.The ISP boards are fitted as a floating floor over an isolating Isorubber layer that is laid onto a structural deck.
An Isosonic Ceiling is also required, consisting of Isosonic Cleats with an MF ceiling system. Alternatively, Isosonic Hanger or Isosonic Bracket systems can be used. All ceiling systems are under drawn with a layer of 12.5mm plasterboard and either a layer of 19mm plasterboard plank or 15mm Soundbloc board.
Isosonic Screed Planks are extremely dense, helping to reduce sound transfer by increasing the mass of a structure. ISP boards are designed for use as fully supported floating floors in combination with the Isorubber range of acoustic underlays and soft coverings.
The ISP boards are available in 18mm and 20mm thicknesses and have a mass of 1100kg/m3. They provide a monolithic cementitious finish that is ideal for use with under floor heating systems.
Isosonic Plank Adhesive is used to bond the T&G joints of Screed Plank boards. As there are no wet trades involved, the ISP boards provide a quick, simple and cost effective way to increase the mass of a lightweight floor.
